LANCASTER CITY – Josh Wood said he came back from work one day to find his dog stolen from his yard. He said his collar was gently removed from the rare blue Pit Bull’s neck. The 5-month-old pup had been part of the family for 3 months and he said his 3-year-old son grew attached to him. Word spread that people spotted the Pit Bull on Manor Street in Lancaster city. Wood and a team of supporters from Two Pups Pastries, a local business, hit the streets handing out flyers all Saturday.

“We know that if this happened to our dog, you know we’d want someone to do something for us as well,” said local business owner Amy Risko.

Wood is offering a $500 reward for the pup to be returned safely, no questions asked.

“It’s not even about the money that I paid for him or that I’m offering, he’s a member of our family, and there’s not a value on that, I just want him back for my son and my family,” said owner Josh Wood.

The Pit Bull’s ears have not been clipped and his tail is long.

Wood has suspicion the dog was stolen for fighting or for breeding.
